The cultural-national heritage of Vilnius district has been nurtured in the building of the Maišiagala Manor which is more than 200-years-old.
In Maišiagala one can learn much about the history of the Lithuanian state and of the Catholic church. People lived here back in the Ist century A.D. Today, visitors are welcomed by Juzef Obrembski museum and one of the very first churches in Lithuania.
In 1989 it was announced that the geographic centre point of Europe is located in Lithuania, close to Vilnius. The area is recognised as a tourist site thanks to its beautiful landscape and the monument erected at the centre point location.
Liubavas Manor is among the oldest manors of Lithuania, which has been diligently and authentically restored. It offers visitors the opportunity to learn more about milling and other technologies that were used centuries ago.
Vilnius District Ethnographic Museum in Nemenčinė offers exhibitions, conferences, guided tours and more. What is more, they have the world's biggest written sign growing in the vicinity!
